Red Dead Rage
Red Dead Redemption 2 finally gets a story trailer and after 16 years, Road Rage makes a next gen comeback.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Let’s start with RDR. This game was an instant classic when it was released back on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. It came from the same studio that put out Grand Theft Auto so the expectations were high. And boy did they deliver. The game, set during the decline of the American Frontier in the year 1911, follows John Marston, a former outlaw whose wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his services as a hired gun. Having no other choice, Marston sets out to bring the three members of his former gang to justice. This game is visually stunning and has one of the most immersive worlds I have played in years. You literally get to tame and ride horses, hunt wolves and sell their hides for money, assist with the apprehension of bandits and able to take down bounties. Who wouldn’t like that? For those of you who have played the original Red Dead Redemption, you HAVE to be excited for this new installment. Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out Spring 2018. Watch the trailer below!
Some of you may be a little young to remember a Sega Genesis title called “Road Rash”. Road Rash was vehicular destruction racing game. The goal was to place 1st while punching, and kicking your opponents off of their bikes along the way. The more you placed first or knocked opponents off of their bikes, the more money you received which allowed you to purchase faster bikes. There have been a long line of Road Rash games (I think they stopped being good after Road Rash 3, but that’s just me). Road Redemption is essentially the spiritual successor to Road Rash and it looks alright. I won’t put too much stock in this only because its an old game renewed but I most likely will be playing it because…I enjoy using a katana to destroy someone’s motorcycle but that’s just me.
That’s all for now folks. I literally just wanted to highlight these upcoming games. Look out for more post coming this week. If you think there are some posts I could make, please leave some comments! Or email me at Noirnerdzone@gmail.com. As always, Nerd out!
