It’s the weekend! I hope you all had a great and productive week and if not…it was a genjutsu (That darn Itatchi) so don’t worry about it! Let’s get into this week’s Nerd News:It’s payday AND cheat meal time (I’m lying…maybe).
Code Geass R3: More information!
Code Geass season 3 was announced a few months back but we didn’t get much information after. All we knew was that it was going to take place a few years after “Zero Requiem” in season 2. Here is an excerpt from the site inquisitr.com:
” The Code Geass Season 3 release date is slowly getting closer even as a movie compilation trilogy has been confirmed as Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Revolution. The third season, or Code Geass R3, will be called Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Resurrection. In addition, there will be spin-off light novels based on the other Code Geass characters.
The third season of Code Geass has been a long time coming since Code Geass R2 finished airing about 10 years ago. The original anime series produced by studio Sunrise was so popular that the anime was eventually adapted into a manga and light novel series. Since it has been so long, the anime production committee decided to revive the series by summarizing the beginning of the story in three movies that include a complete re-recording of all the voice cast and several new scenes.
According to the official Twitter page, the first compilation film, Lelouch of the Revolution: The Awakening Path, will be released on October 21, 2017. The second Code Geass movie, Lelouch of the Revolution: The Rebellion Path will premiere in February of 2018. The third film, Lelouch of the Revolution: The Imperial Path, will be released in March of 2018.
The two spin-off series, Shiro no Kishi, Beni no Yasha (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – Lancelot & Guren) and Mosaic no Kakera (Code Geass Story Fragment – Piece of the Mosaic) will release in the fall of 2017. The first book will focus on stories about both Suzaku and Kallen, while the second will cover six different protagonists whose lives were affected by the events of the main story“
If your like me, then you are excited and confused by the upcoming release of a season 3 of Code Geass. To me, the series had a great and COMPLETE ending but apparently there’s more. I’m really anxious to see how they explain this new season, but we will know more when we learn more.
No Man’s Sky update!
Does anyone still play this game? Like seriously, 4 or 5? I was excited about this game when it was announced. The possibility of discovering planets and systems and naming them and the animals on the planets. They teased the potential of you meeting up with your friends and exploring the universe together, but as we all know they dropped the ball. Anyway, lets talk about this update. It’s a pretty massive update game wise. This update adds streamlined travel, 30 hours of new story, new aliens, new ships, better graphics and even some rudimentary multiplayer. After a full year we get “basic multiplayer”! I know it feels good right? But wait, this “multiplayer” only allows you to see 16 other players that are around you, NOT play with them. It’s called “Joint Exploration” but not really joint. I hope they keep improving the game, maybe I’ll play it again…when more than 5 people own it.
Overwatch-A team based game will be getting…Free for all?
Overwatch has always been a team based shooter where you are supposed to work with a team to complete an objective. Yes, there are some modes that basically have free-for-all but primarily it is very team based. Jeff from the Overwatch team once said that deathmatch would never come to Overwatch, but the arcade gives them a little more freedom. Here is a video from Jeff:
Maybe this means a single-player mode (here’s hoping)? “Deathmatch will use a series of modified versions of maps that are already in the game as well as a brand new one: Chateau Guillard. It’s a fitting (?) place to host a deathmatch, because it used to be Widowmaker’s home before her husband kicked the bucket. We’ll get to learn more about her backstory while defiling any remaining good memories she had of the place with even more bloodshed. Fun!” – (kotaku.com)
That’s all for this week in the Nerd News Blast. I’ll continue to get better at these but please leave me some feedback and I will take heed to it. Be sure to keep on the lookout for game streaming posts for #SND and links to @thatcartoonist ‘s vlog series. Until next time, Nerd Out!
