DaMisfit Branson West, MO. This isn’t a vacation spot in the least. It’s more a spot that you pass through when your traveling to Branson, MO. Okay, I won’t say it’s not a vacation because it is. The city has very beautiful caverns and a small water park that is very busy during the summer. I was here for (my old job) an install at a Sonic Drive-in. This is a very small town with a very small selection of hotels so you definitely wouldn’t come here if you didn’t plan on staying for the attractions. Besides the Sonic I was working in, there wasn’t too much of a presence of chain restaurants. So one would have to frequent the local restaurants, which are wonderful. But one in particular caught my attention the short while I was there.
The place is called Danna’s BBQ and Burger Shop. This place is one of the best decisions in food you would make. They make their ribs and bbq fresh every morning. The baked beans are better than the fries and the fries are perfectly cooked. I usually treat baked beans like I treat potato salad; I don’t eat everyone’s potato salad. But these beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Aside from the sides, the ribs are fall of the bone good. If you go on a Tuesday, you can take advantage of their Ribs deal and get a single rib for $1.59. and man is it worth it. As you can see, it’s a nice amount of food (even though that was only half of my plate).
If you ever end up in Branson West, MO or just passing through, please stop by Danna’s and grab yourself a plate. I promise you won’t regret it. *Sidenote: The catfish platter comes with two filets and they are breaded perfectly and taste even better.
