A game everyone should play
Hello there Blerders and Nerders! Are you ready for the Nintendo E3 press conference today? I hope you have been enjoying the E3 conference so far! Today for the challenge, it’s about a game everyone should play. This is an interesting day because there is no way to know my readers level of gaming, so recommending a game everyone should play is hard to do. So I’m going to list a few games that I think that would be fun for any one to play and have a great time playing.
One of the most visually stunning games I have played in recent years. It has the cinematic mastery that you would expect from MGS but still on it’s own as a game. The storytelling is wonderfully done, the visuals are great, and the multiplayer is unbelievably fun.
I know I’ve been speaking about this series quite a bit during this challenge but if you were to play a Metal Gear game for the first time, I would suggest this one. It has an awesome story, gameplay ahead of it’s time (when it came out) and overall just a fun game. It’s okay if you don’t initially follow the story at first, its a Hideo Kojima so it is not meant to make sense.
Starcraft
StarCraft is a PC game that kind started the competitive PC gaming trend. It was big in Korea before it picked up traction here in the US. A strategy game where you control one of three races collecting resources while building up your fighting force. I included this game on this list because it’s retro enough for retro gamers to appreciate and modern enough for new gamers to at least try.
And finally…ME. One of my favorite series of all time. What makes this a game a must play is the fact that most games today that utilize the “your choices affect your future” got it from ME. Mass Effect allowed you to customize your own character and make decisions that had implications across 3 games. You are really able to make the character yours and influence them in almost every way, even romantically. The character building is great and fun while immersing you into the future of Earth and human civilization.
What about you? Are there any games you would suggest someone MUST play? Tell me about it in the comments. If you are interested in any of the games I mentioned, click the titles! I included Amazon links in case you would like try any of them out (I would appreciate the support!). Hope you guys are enjoying E3 so far! Wrap up post coming at the end of the week! Until next time, Nerd Out!

Half Life 1 and 2 were incredible games. The first one was so ahead of it’s time for a linear fps game and the second made you feel like you were in George Orwell’s 1984. Loved them both and worth the play!
I’ve never played Half Life but always wanted to…may have to look into that now!
Mass Effect is great, even if the finale could have been better. I agree that Metal Gear 3 has an excellent story. One day I was ill in bed and watched the DVD that combines the cut scenes together into a movie.
