30 Day Video Game Challenge: Day 11

Gaming system of choice

Good morning Blerders and Nerders! Hope you have been enjoying E3 this past weekend and later today. I may do a post about E3 or maybe @thatcartoonist will do a video wrap-up. Anyway, today’s subject is Gaming system of choice, which is easy for me to choose!

Sony Playstation

Just to let you know, I’m going to get into which console is better or worse…this is my opinion so you have to deal. Early in my gaming life, I had only owned a Sega Genesis and a Gameboy Color. I didn’t play my first Sony PlayStation until 1998, halfway through its lifespan. After a few plays of Megaman X4 and Madden, I was hooked. When my mother finally broke down and purchased me a PS1, the first game I got was Vagrant Story. I had no clue what it was but it looked cool so I played it and loved it.

I then saved up and purchased Metal Gear Solid, Megaman X4, and Jade Cocoon. I practically wore those discs out. I was sold on PlayStation. When the PS2 and Xbox came out, I immediately jumped on the PS2 box. While Xbox had some great games, PS2 had more games that I wanted to play. Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy 12, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Bully, Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid 3 to name a few of the games I spent an unnecessary amount of time.

I have owned every iteration of the Sony PlayStation and I have not looked back since. I wouldn’t call myself a fan boy because I don’t think it’s that serious. I have played Xbox plenty of times before but like I said before, PlayStation always had games I wanted to play more than Xbox. I currently own a PS2, PS3 and PS4 Pro and more than likely get the next gen PS as well. There is a lot more I could say but I wanted to keep these posts on the short side.

What is your game system of choice? Tell me about it in the comments! Until next time, Nerd Out!
