Favorite Fighter Anime.
Hello Blerders and Nerders! Yes another late one…I’m still working on not being this late lol. Today’s subject is favorite Fighter Anime which is a hard one to narrow down. A lot of anime series one can name could be considered Fighter anime. Another issue is defining exactly what a “fighter” anime is. Since I have a few in mind, I will describe one that I watched recently and enjoyed. And on top of that, it’s a short anime series.
Akame ga Kill may not be your typical “fighter” anime but when it comes to animated fights, it is one of my recent favorites. This anime follows the main protagonist Tatsumi as he navigates what it truly means to be an assassin with a cause. He deals with his morals and values being challenged by those around him, allies and enemies. Almost every episode has an awesome fight scene.
Along with awesome fight scenes, Akame ga Kill is filled a great story-line along with great characters that you easily get attached to. I wish there were more episodes of this anime but after you watch it, you will understand why there isn’t :-(. I am unsure if Akame ga Kill is still on Netflix but that is where I watched it. It may also be in Hulu and Crunchyroll so I recommend you take some time and check this anime series out!
Now I have some honorable mentions but I won’t write out much about them besides their titles and maybe something else lol.
Honorable Mentions:
Had to do this one first. It’s a classic and for the most part is straight hands.
Short series but fun with awesome music. The story is a little iffy but loved the fight scenes.
And the last one I’m doing, is an older anime. I guess you can call it the grandfather of Megalobox.
What is your favorite Fighter anime series? Let us know in the comments! Do you have any suggestions for challenges that we should try (and stay ahead of) in the new year? Leave those suggestions in the comments as well! Until next time, Nerd Out!
Ahh, it’s been a while since I’ve seen YYH. Hahaha!
I’d say Hunter X Hunter (1999) would be my favorite fighting anime so far.
I enjoyed both versions of Hunter X Hunter so I def agree with you.
Thanks! I’m more familiar with the original version when I watched it over a decade ago.
